Funeral Mass for Pope Francis
Good afternoon
With the news from Rome that the funeral of Pope Francis will take place in the morning of Saturday 26th April, St Gregorys Parish has decided to change our usual Saturday Morning Mass at 09:30 to become a solemn sung requiem mass for the repose of His Soul. There will be no sacrament of reconciliation or benediction on Saturday.
Sunday Masses for 27th April will use the normal liturgy for the 2nd Sunday of Easter, but will of course include memorial prayers for His Holiness.
The Rosary on Friday evening at 17:00 will be said in His memory, using a set of reflections written by him. No other Masses or services will be altered this week.
Please let other parishioners (if and when you meet them) know of the above changes to the schedule.
