The Jericho 300 club is our regular parish fundraiser which brings members of the congregation together into a monthly prize draw.
Many people have already given freely of their time, effort, and prayers since the Jericho appeal was launched in 1997 and have contributed generously to support our different projects: new flooring and heating; extensive repairs to the main roof; and major internal renovation works that were completed in 2019.
We are grateful for your generosity which supports the essential maintenance and conservation work that is vital in making sure our beautiful church will continue to be here for centuries to come.
General Membership Information
The 300 Club is an annual members’ prize draw club, with a maximum of 300 members. It is a parish fundraiser in support of our Jericho Appeal, with draws held monthly. The club is operated as a private lottery and is open to parishioners of St Gregory the Great parish, Cheltenham.
You can join by committing to making a regular donation. All we are asking you to do is to set up a standing order donation of £5 per month, or £60 per year. Each member is allocated a number which is entered into a monthly prize draw. There is an additional free draw made at Christmas.
If you would prefer to join without paying by standing order, then you can pay the annual membership fee (£60) by cash or cheque.
Each month, the 1st prize is £100, 2nd prize £50, and 3rd prize is £25.
All contributions are split between parish funds and member prizes. In the last year members have together raised more than £5,000 for the Jericho appeal from the membership subscription.
Member prizes each month are paid by cheque. Cheques are valid for six months and any cheques not cashed (unpresented) within 6 months of issue are out-of-date and will not re-issued.
Draws take place each monthly and by the parish office and is overseen by an independent person appointed by the finance committee.
Members may purchase more than one membership, subject to availability.
Membership applications are processed on a “first come first served” basis. To join, complete the application form and standing order mandate and hand them to the parish office. The 300 Club Administrator will contact you to confirm if a membership place is available and it is possible to join the 300 club at any stage during the year
If you would like to join the 300 club please complete one of the membership forms at the back of the church or, contact the parish office.
