"You will recognise them by their fruits."
"You will recognise them by their fruits." is from today's Gospel, Matthew 7:15-20. An excellent piece of advice from our Lord, that we should judge others by what they actually provide for others. Although it seems that Jesus is alerting us to the dangers of others - 'bad actors' or false prophets making promises that they have no intention of keeping - we should always consider how to apply His messages to ourselves.
We must not allow ourselves to be full of good wishes for others, and always positive in what we say, if what we deliver for others is wanting. We are part of the Lord's vine - so we need to provide the best fruit, to attract others to Him!
