St John Paul II was a remarkable man, and many remember his papcay with much love and admiration. He was certainly a man ready, and waiting for God's call in every stage of his life. A great example for us all. Like many, I went to one of his Papal Masses on his tour of the UK, initially dreading the experience (never being one for a large crowd), and I was blessed by it. So much so that I went again - to the youth Mass in Cardiff.
In life, he felt like a man close to God, and speaking God's word. He was thereby attractive to many and brought many to know and accept God's Love for them.
We must all try to be the same - we are all called to be Saints - by listening to God's word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide what we do and say, so that we might in our own small way be attractive to others.
