Beware of Celebrity Romance Scams
Fraudsters are using the identity and photographs of HAUSER (Stjepan Hauser), the Croatian cellist and former member of 2CELLOS, to create fake social media profiles and build relationships with unsuspecting victims. If anyone claiming to be HAUSER, his management team, representative or friend asks you to send money, buy gift cards, pay fees, invest funds, or provide financial support for him, it is a scam.
If you are approached in this way, do not send money or share personal information. Speak to your Parish Safeguarding Representative or contact the Clifton Diocese Safeguarding Team on 0117 954 0993 or safeguarding@cliftondiocese.com for advice and support.
You should also report the matter to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or at www.actionfraud.police.uk. If anyone is at immediate risk, call the police on 999.
