A happy new year!
"But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart." [Luke 2:20]. With these words we are given a most important insight into Mary, Mother of God. She treasured all that was said about her son - the messages from the Angles, the visitation of the Shepherds, and then of the Wise Men. The Heavenly Realm, the Old Testament Faith of the Israelites, and the potential of the New Testament for all mankind, all three are important to her. Then she pondered all these treasures. To ponder means to carefully think through something, and for some considerable time. An example for us all is set by Mary.
Make this holiday into a holy day, by pondering on all we have heard about Jesus this Christmas time.
