The Lord appeared to James, then to all the Apostles.

If every anyone said 'come and see' with such success, it was St Phillip, who invited Nathaniel ("Can any good ever come out of Nazareth") amongst many others to come and see the Lord. That is the role of all baptised christians - we are required by our baptism to bring people to come and meet the Lord. We are not responsible for what happens then!
James is a frequently occurring name in the New Testament, and there is no clear evidence which one is which. It is generally accepted the there are three, and the one celebrated today is the one who in the first reading is listed individually as having met the risen Jesus. He is then compelled by his faith to write and tell us about it. It is rather unlikely that the Letters from James we have in scripture were the only ones that he wrote, and we are fortunate that they have survived!
Let us, like Phillip and James, use writing and word of mouth to invite all that we can to come and see!
