Hebrews 11:1-2, 8-19; Lk 1:69-70. 71-72. 73-75; Mark 4:35-41
The phrase 'filled with great fear' is common in the Old Testament, and refers us to the presence of YAWAEH. So this story is clearly pointing to the presence of God in Jesus - and only with that power can Jesus the human command the sea to be calm. (Have you ever tried it??)
The disciples are now just beginning to realise and to ask each other - who is this then?
