We have been very blessed by the visit of the Relics of Saint Carlo Acutis over the few days that he was here with us. Hundreds of parishioners and school children from across Gloucestershire and beyond came to hear about St Carlo, to venerate his relics, and to benefit from his intercessions. The legacy will last a long while as over the coming weeks and months prayers will be answered - God always answers prayer, in his own time and way. Let us look out for changes and blessings in our lives!
Placing of petitions.
All the intercessions written on paper slips and placed into the collection baskets will be taken by Msgr Anthony to St Carlo's grave in Assisi on Monday 16th March, where they will be placed overnight before a Mass is said for those intentions. The petitions were placed at the tomb on the eve of the Solemnity of the Annunciation, and will remain there for 48 hours.
All the prayer cards, rosaries and medals touched to the reliquaries over the three days, are now relics of St Carlo, entrusted to our care. Take care of them and whenever you use them, remember that he is interceding for your needs to our Heavenly Father.
Pray for us, St Carlo Acutis! As you said, Nothing is Impossible for God!

About the Relics
Born in 1991, Carlo is the first millennial saint and he is celebrated for his profound faith and use of the internet to log Eucharistic miracles from around the world. At just 7 years old, he wished to receive his First Holy Communion and told his parents, “this is my programme of life.”
Alongside his digital Evangelism, Carlo is revered for his charitable work and great desire to help others. He gave his time towards helping those experiencing homelessness and hunger in Milan, even purchasing sleeping bags and food for them using his own money.
Carlo was passionate about spreading the teachings of the Catholic Church up until his death from leukaemia at the age of 15.
About the Relics:
Relics consist of physical remains of a saint that are venerated after their death, or they could be objects that have been in
contact with a saint. We use the relics as a reminder of the saint’s life, to inspire our own path to sainthood, and to give praise and glory to God.
This First Class pilgrim relic is a section of the Saint’s pericardium, the membrane that surrounds the heart. This is a sack filled with water that encloses the heart and the great vessels, holding them in place and protecting the body’s most important organ. The relic, therefore, is of major importance physiologically.
The pericardium is preserved in a reliquary and is carried worldwide by the Diocese of Assisi, as custodian of the relics of Carlo Acutis, and respecting Church guidelines.
